  • Students from around the world regularly come here to live and train

  • Be taught by fully-qualified, passionate male and female instructors, with over 30 years experience, who make sure you develop strong Aikido foundations
  • World-class facilities with a dedicated full-time Aikido training hall. There’s no need to lay down the mats before training or pack up the mats after training.

What will I learn?

  • The discipline and harmonious philosophy of training in a traditional Aikido school
  • Aikido stances which form the foundations of your techniques
  • Aikido techniques such as joint locks and throws, where you learn to maximise your own power and blend with the opponents energy

What our students say

Testimonials

I think the best thing about training at the Shudokan is that after almost two and a half years I have not had a single class that I have walked away from without having enjoyed myself and learned something new.

I started learning Aikido in my 50s and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. What a gift it is to do a physical practice that trains your mind, body and spirit together.

Aikido becomes a part of your life – philosophies are trained and ingrained into your thoughts and actions. I have become healthier, slimmer, fitter and sharper in both body and mind.

The Sensei here at the dojo are fantastic. They push us one step further than we think we can go, which has helped me learn and develop not only physically but mentally, too.
