teaching men, women and children.

All teaching is tailored to the individual so if you haven’t been doing much regular exercise recently, the intensity of the class will be adjusted accordingly. With regular training, your fitness and flexibility will improve.

Yes! They’re very welcome. Please let us know that you will be bringing a friend and tell us your friend's name.

Please arrive 30 minutes before the class so the instructor can welcome you and so you have time to join the warmup session that starts 15 minutes prior to class.

Check the Training Centres page for your nearest dojo and to see a timetable of available class times. Any of the beginners classes will be suitable.

You’ll notice students bow with respect and remove their shoes when entering the dojo and the training hall. Punctuality, respect and cleanliness are also important. Read more about our etiquette.

Please wear comfortable clothes such as a t-shirt and tracksuit pants. If you have a uniform from another martial art, you are welcome to wear that. Also remove any jewellery as these can be dangerous or get damaged during practice.
